I would like to recognize Joadine in the Footwear Department at Academy Sports for providing exceptional customer service. My daughter and I were looking for a specific size in a pair of Crocs, and Joadine went above and beyond to help us find them. She opened multiple boxes and searched through several rows of shoes to locate the correct size. What impressed me most was her genuine enthusiasm—she was just as excited as we were when she finally found them! Everyone we have encountered at Academy has always been pleasant, but Joadine’s level of service truly stood out. She was patient, attentive, and determined to make sure we found what we needed. Her willingness to go the extra mile made a real difference in our experience. Thank you, Joadine, for your outstanding customer service and for making our shopping experience such a positive one. Academy Sports is fortunate to have you on their team!

I've visited this location several times in the past and have always had positive experiences. The staff has generally been helpful, which is why this recent visit was so disappointing. During my visit this week, I received conflicting and confusing information from the firearms department. I was told that if you enter the store with someone who is also purchasing a firearm and that person's background check is denied, your purchase may also be denied. I have not found any posted policy in the store or online that explains this practice. What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of clear communication. I specifically asked for an explanation, but none was provided. I was initially told that my background check had cleared and that I could return the following day to complete my purchase. When I returned, I was then told I needed to wait 30 days, despite having previously been told I was approved. I have no warrants, pending court cases, or arrest history. The person who accompanied me was denied after my background check had already been approved. I was then effectively denied based on my association with that individual and was told to return without them. We

First time I bought a product on line. I elected to have customer service bring it to me where I was parked in a space so provided. It went smooth assist. I don't think I even had to wait 5 minutes. Im going to choose this method more often.

really enjoy shopping at Academy and usually have a good experience throughout the store. However, the sporting goods/gun counter has been disappointing on multiple visits. The employees in that area often seem uninterested in helping customers, and at times their attitude comes across as rude. Customer service should be consistent throughout the entire store, and unfortunately that hasn’t been my experience in this department. I like the store overall, but I hope management addresses the hospitality and customer service at the gun counter.

I was extremely nervous about purchasing a handgun, being that Im a first time buyer and “Richard” made me feel so welcomed. I told him what I had in mind to purchase and he delivered just that. From his knowledge on the firearms to his overall customer service. Thanks soo much. I’ll definitely be purchasing again at this location. Fingers crossed he’ll be there to serve me again.
